What is a teletrial?

Clinical trials provide patients with the opportunity to access new treatments, therapies and technologies. A teletrial is the conduct of clinical trials from a Primary Site utilising Telehealth communication to engage Satellite Sites, (forming a clinical trial cluster) in designated regions to enhance patient reach, recruitment and management.

This microlearning explores the core principle of teletrials and examines the VCCC Alliance Teletrials Program Framework for Victorian Institutions which applies the principles of the Australasian Tele-trials Mode

To know the aim of teletrials is to increase access to clinical trials for rural, regional and remote communities, including Indigenous communities
