Speakers
Natalie Lalor
Team Leader, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Cancer Council Victoria
Natalie has worked at Cancer Council for nine years on the 13 11 20 information and support line, and as Team Leader in the past five years. During this time, she has provided support to people affected by cancer, and also leads a team of seventeen nurses providing clinical expertise and guidance.
Kate Barber
Nurse Counsellor, Cancer Council Victoria
Kate has worked at Cancer Council for 6 years, starting as a Clinical Nurse Specialist on the 13 11 20 Information and Support line. She also has her own Counselling Private Practice and strongly believes that psychological support should go hand in hand with treatment when someone is impacted by cancer. In 2022, she was instrumental in the implementation the Nurse Counselling Program at CCV. This program is a short-term service offering free Counselling sessions to those impacted by cancer. It now has three Counsellors and, since inception, has supported over 1000 people affected by cancer.
