Monday Lunch Livestream

With Professor Jill Francis and Associate Professor Niall Corcoran

5 July 2022

Hear this dynamic duo who demonstrate implementation science using a real-life case study example of de-escalation in prostate cancer therapy.

Delivery of low-value care is a problem across all health systems. The body of knowledge in implementation science includes methods and frameworks for investigating and addressing this problem.

In this special Monday Lunch Livestream, Professor Jill Francis (Professor of Implementation Science, University of Melbourne) is joined by urological surgeon, Associate Professor Niall Corcoran. Together they present examples of implementation science frameworks and how their application is exemplified through the challenges associated with the de-escalation of prostate cancer therapies. These methods are transferable to addressing low-value care in other clinical contexts.
